Share

Use Daily Chance tickets to win free prizes including reward points and rare items. You receive 1 free Daily Chance ticket everyday just for playing. You can purchase more tickets to get more prize too!

Unfortunately, not all Mafia Wars players have this option available yet. Seems like Zynga teams made random choose of which player has this chance. For the still unlucky ones : a bar opens in the daily lottery page, where you can cash an additional reward based on your tickets submitted for the week. You can buy more tickets for your chosen prize.

Here is the pic for you.

You may choose to buy only 1 or 2 or .... 6 tickets and claim your prize!

The Daily Lottery Chance Prizes are:

1 of 6 You can win 1 Collectable Item
2 of 6 You can win 10 stamina points (one time get)
3 of 6 You can win 30 energy points (one time get)
4 of 6 You can win a free ticket
5 of 6 You can win 1 skill point
6 of 6 You can win reward points

For reward points, you can win 1-5 Godfather points. So, it's not always 5 points.. qeqeqe

Ok then.. have fun with the prize, guys! Goodluck!

Lil' Tips for Not Being Robbed

Share
If you're reading this, you've probably been robbed... and are probably annoyed because you have to pay for repairs all the time. Additionally, you make less money on properties until they are repaired, which is no fun either.

I am NOT a whiz here, just sharing my experiences. Here are the lil' tips for not being robbed again and again :

1. Your mafia size should be at least the equivalent of your level.
Unlike defending fights, the amount of mafia members that can "help out" is equal to your level. So, if you don't want to get robbed and are level 70, you should have at least 70 people in your mafia. By having less mafia members then your level, you become a big target.

2. Make sure your mafia is well equipped.
Mafia members are only as strong as the weapons and armor you give them. Make sure every mafia member has a decent weapon, armor, and vehicle to use. Some clans feed their mafia family very well, so they are really strong and can't be robbed!

3. Level Up!
I'm not talking about leveling up to put more points in defense or get more mafia members. Getting out of the low levels early is important for property health - players at higher levels do not rob as often, if at all. Why? Because it is not worth the stamina. Fighting yields more experience and has a chance to drop the best weapons (TNT), vehicles (Humvees), and job items (like Blackmail Photos) that the high level players need.

The $ 650,000-750,000 that is standard for robbing a casino pales in comparison to the amount of cash the "Boss" jobs produce. High level players do jobs for money rather than rob. On that note, if you are power leveling, you may find it hard to keep your mafia size equal to your level. The solution is simple - if you can't keep your mafia size equal to your level, just don't buy property (aside from Mafia Mike's) until you are around level 150. Players around level 20-80 rob much more frequently then high level players.

4. Don't rob other players. It's a big No No!

As noted in point #3, high level players do not like to rob. The only reason to rob is to get revenge for their low level buddies. So, if you don't piss anyone off (i.e. by robbing them), you are much less likely to get robbed in return.

5. Win a lot of fights.
In Mafia Wars, the best defense is a good offense. When robbing someone, you can only see a few statistics - number of mafia members, whether the property is protected. Since a player can't actually see your defense rating, a high level of defense does little to deter attacks. What they can see however, is your win to loss ratio on fights. I know I'm a lot less likely to try to fight or rob someone that has won 10,000 fights and only lost 1,000! However, when I see someone who has lost many more fights then they have won, I know it's an easy target. Hahahaha

6. Don't put people on the hitlist.
If you WANT to get robbed, be sure to put someone on the hitlist! Not only will the person you put a hit out on rob you repeatedly, but so will his friends. Additionally, when someone posts a hit, their name is shown on the hitlist as well. Some bored higher level players get entertainment out of robbing and attacking people who put out hits rather than attacking for the reward money! Avoid putting your name out there and you won't get robbed (or attacked) as much.

7. Protect your property.
Protecting your property is not as expensive as you might think - it only needs to be done once if you never get robbed! If you followed steps 1-5 and protect your property, the your odds of getting robbed are slim-to-none. If you never have to pay for repairs, you'll save a lot of money!

Summary

If you are getting robbed constantly in this game, just add more people to your mafia, win a lot of fights (if your attack rating is low find a whipping boy), don't rob other players, don't put out hits, and protect your property. If all else fails, level to 150 as fast as you can- people at that level don't rob as much. Do this and I guarantee you your robbery rates will go way down!

As for me, I don't like being robbed. Sometimes mafias don't need any reason to rob others. So after I obtain my achievement by selling 50 Mega Casinos, I just sell all of them and satisfy by owning lots of Mafia Mike's. You can't rob me! Image hosted by servimg.com

New Names For Some Weapons & Vehicles

Share
I took this game news from TOP MAFIA - DISABLED. Thanks to Yonks for this info. Thank you!

Some of you may have noticed that one of the changes that Zynga implemented today was changed the names to some of the most recognizable equipment within the game. Why they did this ... we will probably never know.

New Name (old name)
  • BA-12 Assault Rifle (AR-15 Assault Rifle)
  • Boomslang ACR (Bushmaster ACR)
  • Chopper (Harley Davidson "Fat Boy" Motorcycle)
  • GX9 (Porsche 911)
  • Multi-Purpose Truck (Humvee)
  • Vintage Cruisher (Road Master)
And another or some other names that I don't know because I don't have the items.

Personally I don't like it.
"Multi-Purpose Truck" just doesn't have the same appeal as "Humvee". We all know Humvee better than Multi-Purpose Truck.
Chopper just isn't quite as good as a Harley. Makes me wonder why they did this. Doesn't make any sense..
I would think that the constant exposure to "Porsche 911" would only be good (and free marketing) for the makers of the original items. These companies normally spend millions on advertising to get their name out there. Or perhaps their lawyers are the big fans of Mafia Wars game? qeqeqe

So, what do you think about this guys? You might have your own name to those weapons and vehicles.. Enjoy, mate

All You Need To Know About Fight!

Share

There is a lot of confusion about how fighting works, how a winner is declared, etc. Let us hear what Zynga says about it.

How is the winner of a fight determined?

There are many factors that determine who will win in a fight:

1. Crew size
2. The attack or defense power of items used when attacking or defending.
3. The level to which both parties Attack/Defense stats have been improved.
4. The presence of special items in inventory picked up in game play that may provide an attack or defense bonus. Eg: Job mastery items like Pistol Bayonet
5. The integration of Casino odds and critical hits which allow for random automatic victories.

There is often much confusion regarding the items used and the way in which they are used. The game will automatically pick the best items for you to use in every combat scenario. For example, when you are attacking, the items in every category - weapons, armor and vehicles - with the best Attack value will be used, this applies to items in the Attack, Defense, and Movement categories. Likewise, when defending against an attack, the game will automatically assign the items with the highest Defense stat in each category.
Meaning: Falsified documents [2 Attack, 30 Defense] are as good as Guerrilla squads [34 Attack, 30 Defense] while defending. However, they get useless when you are attacking.

Items with the same attack or defense value are interchangeable, for example, if item A and item B both have an Attack stat of 1, you might see either one as the game doesn't have a preference as long as the values are equal. If 2 items of the same attack or defense power are present, the one you acquired first is usually chosen. Also, ONLY the attack stat is used when attacking and ONLY the defense stat is used when defending. Contrary to popular belief these stats are not merged, they are indeed independent of one another. Call me : Uncle Lou!

Another source of confusion is how a larger more equipped crew can be defeated by someone far less "advanced" than they are. Remember, you do not see your opponents' stat allocation or special item attack/defense bonuses, these figures are an integral part of the formula and can serve to significantly strengthen a foe that otherwise appears to be weak.

Victory is not based on how much damage is dealt. It is based on who has the most points - Attack Power Points (yours) VS Defense Power Points (theirs) when attacking and Defense Power Points (yours) VS Attack Power Points (theirs) when attacked.

Damage done is based on a dice roll from 3-27 plus any special items that add to damage. Damage lowers a players Hit Points/Health.

Through favor points and/or stat modification there are many different strategies currently employed by our users to defend or attack players of many different levels and strengths. We invite you to find whichever one works best for you.

Controversy:
Some third party combat calculators and players do not agree with this. They think a higher "[(Attack + Defense) * Mafia] + [Equipment attack + Equipment Defense]" will let you win a fight. This formula takes both attack AND defense values of the equipment you take into a fight.
Meaning: Bodyguards are better in both attack AND defense than falsified docs. (We'll discuss more about this later)

Exceptions:
Critical hits and bodyguard bonus are two exceptions to this rule. They are random less frequent events that can let a weaker mafia win against a stronger one. These have been included in the game to make it less predictable and maintain a balance.

Why did I deal more damage and still lose the fight?

Sometimes when you fight you are assisted by one of your mafia members. One of the assist options when defeated is “take half damage”. This assist option is applied after the winner of the fight is determined.

Example:
• Player A fights Player B.
• Player B wins the fight.
• Player A dealt 15 damage.
• Player B dealt 20 damage.
• Player A was assisted by a friend and took half damage.
• The fight result will display player A lost and was dealt 10 damage.

What is a Sucker Punch?

A sucker punch is a method of attack in Mafia Wars that is always successful however it deals very little damage and results in no experience gain. It can serve to antagonize people however and is a great way to pick a full-fledged fight (if that is what you're looking for). Xixixixixix

What does “Mobsters Whacked” mean in my Mafia Wars profile?

"Mobsters whacked" represents the number of times you have "Killed" an opposing mafia member. Whacking occurs then you reduce your opponents' health to 0 when fighting. Since mobsters with health below 20 cannot be attacked this feat is difficult early in game play as damage of 20+ is required to kill a mobster, however it becomes simpler as you build up your mafia and acquire better weaponry.

This is the sum of your hitlist kills and the number of players you snuffed in fights. So, it is always greater than (in almost all cases) or equal to (if you did not snuff any one yet) your 'Hitlist kills' stats.

So, if a player has whacked many more mobsters than his number of deaths, you are better off staying away from him. Same applies to players who hardly got robbed and have high 'Successful Heists'. They are dangerous! Trinity's mood

Social Fight Rewards

Share
Hi guys,

So sorry that I can't update my blog regularly. My internet connection seems to be up and down. Whenever I have chance, I promise will keep this blog alive again! Yeah

Ok, now I'd like to discuss about new feature from Mafia Wars game called "Social Fight Rewards". For you who always notice your Player Updates box (on your Home page), you may see the following picture :

It means that you have some rewards ie some money (sometimes just zero) and experiences. You DO NOT have to click the link to receive your experience for Social Fight Rewards. The XP received from them is instantly awarded. Every time one of these messages appear in your Player Updates you instantly receive experience.

We may take a conclusion here that Social Fight Rewards are the passive experience you gain when your mafia performs an attack and you fight with them as their Capo. The larger your mafia, the more potential that you have to receive more rewards (unlike the job assistance requests, your mafia does not have to be a facebook friend in order to receive the benefits). Now I know that growing my mafia is not a bad idea, right? What dya think?

There is a link available where you can find out exactly how much experience you have received from social fight rewards.

Social Fight Rewards link:
http://apps.facebook.com/inthemafia/index.php?xw_controller=index&xw_action=social_fight_reward

Here is an example of when I clicked the Social Fight Rewards link most recently :

Come on, guys.. try it by yourself!

This is also happening when you fight (attack). You'll frequently see various messages of how your mafia helps you with that fight. Every time one of these messages appear in your attack box, the mafia that helped you earns a social fight reward (they earn money and/or XP whether you win or lose).

How To Brag About ANY Achievement (Even If You Didn't Earn It Yet)

Share
You might have seen some players bragging about the 999 Trillion achievement. But, when you go to their mafia wars profile, you realize that they still didn't earn even the 1 Trillion achievement. Let us give out the secret for you. Using the steps below, you can brag about ANY achievement that you like. qeqeqe

Step 1:
Go to any Mafia Wars profile that has the achievement you wanna brag about. Click on 'See All Achievements' to see their list of achievements. If you don't know any profiles that have the achievement you wanna brag about, you can use this list :

SammyScribbles

{FIDELIS} "LEX"

John Cole

[LCN] Big Daddy GSI {G}

[LCN] Bodda≡BOOM≡Baudo{G}

╬~Dream_hell~[RYfG]
***This one has the 999 Trillion Achievement***

Step 2:

Now simply scroll to the achievement you wanna brag about and click on the 'Brag about it!' button next to it.

Note:
There is a bug in the game because of which you see YOUR progress on the achievements instead of theirs. Don't worry about it. You just need the 'Brag about it!' button. The progress (Date achieved) shown on their mafia wars profile shows the right time they achieved it though. But there are some accounts which have achievement dates in 1970s!!!!! They are probably Zynga's testing accounts or just victims/abusers of some bugs in the game.

Now, wait for your friends to bug you asking for how you did it!!!!! Hahahaha
