I took this game news from TOP MAFIA - DISABLED. Thanks to Yonks for this info. 
Some of you may have noticed that one of the changes that Zynga implemented today was changed the names to some of the most recognizable equipment within the game. Why they did this ... we will probably never know.
New Name (old name)
- BA-12 Assault Rifle (AR-15 Assault Rifle)
- Boomslang ACR (Bushmaster ACR)
- Chopper (Harley Davidson "Fat Boy" Motorcycle)
- GX9 (Porsche 911)
- Multi-Purpose Truck (Humvee)
- Vintage Cruisher (Road Master)
And another or some other names that I don't know because I don't have the items.
Personally I don't like it.
"Multi-Purpose Truck" just doesn't have the same appeal as "Humvee". We all know Humvee better than Multi-Purpose Truck.
Chopper just isn't quite as good as a Harley. Makes me wonder why they did this. Doesn't make any sense..
I would think that the constant exposure to "Porsche 911" would only be good (and free marketing) for the makers of the original items. These companies normally spend millions on advertising to get their name out there. Or perhaps their lawyers are the big fans of Mafia Wars game?
