Sending Lots of Gifts at Mafia Wars

This is happening to me all the time..

When we decided to send gifts to our mafia family member, it will be bored if we only click “Send Gift” button once each item send. I have counted, there is need 9 – 15 second including recheck at the name (depend on your internet connection) to send gift items one by one. Can you imagine if you need to send 50 gifts??

After clicking on sending button, now we have to Publish or Skip our gifting. It's ok for 1 sending only...

I'm tired doing this when I want to send more than 1 gift to my family member. Let say 10 gifts of the same item, example : 10 Federal Agents. (You do this also right when you want to borrow some Federal Agents to gain an achievement?)

Luckly, I found another smart website containing lots of bookmarklet tools that we could use regarding sending gifts named : MafiaGift bookmarklet from Spockholm site.

Note : Please understand that you can't sending gifts that you don't have!

Installing the bookmarklet

1. Go to : http://www.spockholm.com/mafia/bookmarklets.php

2. Choose MafiaGift bookmarklet. (Updated: 13th June). Now supports facebook usernames!

Browser :

Internet Explorer
* Right click in the bookmarklet box, then choose add to favorites.
* If there is a security warning press ok.

Firefox
* Right click in the bookmarklet box, then choose add to bookmarks.
* Or drag n drop the box to your bookmarklet toolbar.

Chrome
* Drag n drop the box to your bookmarklet toolbar.

3. You have to be in Gifting page to use this bookmarklet.



Using the bookmarklet

Part 1: Obtaining the secret key
1. Use the bookmark at your gift page to find the secret key.
2. Another option is to use the bookmarklet at a friends Mafia Wars profile page.
If there is a wishlist the secret key will be found by the bookmarklet.
3. The key will be stored in a cookie for easy access when you return.

Part 2: Finding reciever Facebook id.
1. The easy option is to visit a friends Facebook or Mafia Wars profile page, and using the bookmarklet there.
2. Otherwise you have to look at the link to a profile page, and identify the numbers:
http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=123456&ref=nf
3. The id will be stored in a cookie for easy access when you return.

Part x: Two birds with one stone.
* If you visit a friends Mafia Wars page and there is a wishlist.
Using the bookmarklet on that page will find both the secret key and the facebook id.


Finally, choose how many gifts do you like to give then. Easy right???

Now, I can sending lots of gifts without being bored clicking on repeated buttons..
