New Combat Formula

Share

Hi there! Hello, mafias!

I don't understand well about fighting, formulas, blablabla.. So I just simply copy this article posted by Yonks (admin of Top Mafia page on the FaceBook). Enjoy!

It would not be feasible for me to repost and include all of the screenshots and details for all of the info that I've compiled over the last several days from combat testing ... it is all available on the Facebook fan page I admin.

Summary of Conclusions Derived from current Rounds of Test:
Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 | Effectively show that Zynga is no longer combining Attack+Defense on equipment, the scores are now treated separately. This is more in line with how Zynga determines which equipment is used in combat (that stayed the same).
Round 4 | Effectively shows how a tie is treated ... tie goes to the defender
Round 5 | Effectively shows that Skill points are no longer combined. Also shows that skill points play a SUBSTANTIALLY smaller role in the determination of winning / losing fights. This makes equipment a HUGE factor. If my theorized combat formula is correct, one would need 1500 Defense Skill points MORE than the Attacker to successfully defend (this is of course assuming that they both have the best equipment possible and 501 mafia).

Click the links on the Round # above to see the note on facebook.

New Combat Formula:

(Skill Points * Mafia Size * 0.01) + Equipment Score ... the variables depend on whether attacking or defending.

Attack = (Attack Skill Points * Mafia Size * 0.01) + Attack Equipment Score

Defense = (Defense Skill Points * Mafia Size * 0.01) + Defense Equipment Score

SUMMARY:
Equipment now plays a MUCH MORE SIGNIFICANT ROLE than it ever has before. I can somewhat understand why Zynga shifted course of direction on that as with their previous model, people didn't have much motivation to buy equipment with their Godfather Reward Points. We still believe that buying skill points will make your character stronger ... but lets face it ... we all LOVE collecting equipment (and Zynga knows this) ... and now there isn't as big of a difference whether buying skill points or buying Godfather loot.
